Otherside lacks

by Aaron Howard

Come on, Whisper in my ear about how you really feel.
When it comes to your emotions, let it come to openly reveal.
Ask me how deep my infatuation for you runs,
Wonder why I've come to hate those nuns.
Ask me anything that your innermost heart desires
and come to love me and the attention it requires.
Come, come, come to love who I really strive to be.
Go, go, go and see how you put love into my reality.
Come to be the one I need in the middle of the night.
Strive to be the one to stays in my light.
Whisper so close that I can feel your breathe stain my cheeks.
Come hang out with us and the local freaks.
Open the door and walk into our humble abode.
Come in and forget about that horse you rode.
Open the pantry to the bare walls behind
and come in and see the honesty you'll find.
Open the backdoor and see our yard filled with junk.
Go out to the car and take a ride in the trunk.
Uptight and open armed for a big surprise
since it seems the freaks never shield their eyes.
We loathe in self pity and remorse.
Even after we've chosen fates course.
We ask ourselves why you even linger with us around
since it seems that only honesty can truly be profound.
Maybe you're here to see what it's like on the other side of the tracks
coming over here and seeing what the other side really lacks...
