No greater cost by Aaron HowardA rock thrown through a window just to get your attention
since I've met you, it seems, my soul has been in ascension.
I sat around for weeks wondering how to get through
but looking at you, you already thought about it and knew.
Speaking my mind, but for some reason still holding back
somehow trying to conceal all the things I seemed to lack.
Somewhere feeling that impatience grows to ungodly means
sitting there all along counting my broken hearts beans.
Wondering if this is something tangible, something real.
Still somehow afraid of how I really feel.
Needing someone after all these patient glimpses at remorse.
Wondering if we're two ships set on the same course.
Willing to give my soul only to one who wants the helm.
Sitting here wondering if you want part of my realm
I don't want the world, I only want your half
and since I've met you, I've been doing the math.
I've figured by my calculations that it's always worth the loss
since it seems for love there can be no greater cost..
