Everyone needs love, or so they say
even though they pass it over everyday.
They all beg for their turn at affection
and think it's their heart that needs a correction.
They spend their time bitching about lust
and then go home to their heart covered with dust.
They beg for all they'll never own
and they can't ever and I mean ever be shown.
They'll argue over the ways to improve it
and they'll lie and say they did it.
So don't get all involved in the game
since breaking up is always the same.
Some people have love, some don't
some will change for it, some won't
So don't get all defensive when someone give advice
since I only do it rare, much less twice...
So if you can't communicate with the one you're with
and they don't pick you over the spliff...
Then maybe you need to find a new keepsake
and quit bullshitting yourself with something that's fake.
Live your life like you want to be
and find all the respect you need for me.
Forget about the pain and neglect
and having to accept the calls collect.
Forget about all the past you've come to despise
and come out in the real world and open your eyes...
