Is a comic heart a thing of the past?
Is that something that no one wants to grasp?
Is someone who can make you smile bad?
Do they remind you of how your really sad?
Do they tempt you into a smile or grin?
Do they open wounds deep within?
Do words they say remind you of time past
and about friendships that didn't last?
Do they make you wish you had it back
and came through where you did lack?
Maybe life can turn up for even you,
since maybe someone will joke a few.
Maybe you'll meet a new friend
and that loneliness will end.
Maybe someone else will make you snort
since you can't ever sell people short.
