I've been sulking here for weeks
and my heart sure reeks.
I thought I would only stop by
but it's easier to sulk and cry.
It's easier to pine about the past
and about how love didn't last.
It's so easy to blame myself
and put my heart on a shelf.
Hide it away from the world.
Away from these little girls.
A way to hide away the loss.
Since I made a bet without knowing the cost
or compiled the final tally
of the true dangers of Heartbreak alley.
I guess I'll drink up and move along
and find some other place to sing my song..
