For the pool shark...

by Aaron Howard

Her eyes, brown and deep as the desire I hold...
Her hair, sandy like desert tales untold...
Her intentions, hidden and waiting to unfold..
Her heart, bruised from being treated cold...

Her smile, warm as a blanket on Sunday morn...
She looks, to me with a hint of possible adorn..
Her voice, taunts my smile when I hear her scorn...
Her emotions, taking on the world, without fear of being torn...

In all this I contentedly smile, happy just to be around her this while...
For I enjoy her warm company, but would much prefer her on top of me.
I know this is devilish say, but I wouldn't prefer it any other way.
For her, I would grace with laughter till dawn...
In this game, for her, I would be a pawn...
In this world, she's suave as a swan...
and you don't know what you've got till it's gone...
