As if you didn't know, I'm so lost in you
and for one moment for if you only knew.
These emotions dwelling deep inside
and with this, My time I patiently bide.
I ask for something I just can't own
since far from love it seems I've grown.
Ask for something you just don't need
and their words?, Don't pay any heed.
Violence all around but I need affection
to help me heal this broken hearted affliction.
Around here we know what we've lost
and we've had time to assess the cost.
We walk the wire that spans our hearts
and look back at all the failed starts.
