this one goes out to the plastic jesus with a mullet. by Andrew S Adamsthis is more than something about a girl.
it is something entirely random, a
tribute to the sheer essence of stuff.
it's so general, perhaps something
specific in the mix would seem odder than reality.
her plastic jesus has a mullet,
a testament to the whole feng shui
of the spirit of the room. strictly
modernist, abstract,
and other creative adjectives for 'messy'.
and underneath the photo albums,
there is a hint of something more.
underneath the fiberoptic lamp,
there are droors and droors of life and
whatever else she can cram under
those shirts, packed away so tight
some of these parts will never see the light.
beneath the pills and photo albums,
and beneath the plastic penguin,
somewhere in there lies the answer to
the universal soul.
meanwhile, i'm sitting on a chair
covered with bumper stickers.
yes, this is modernist. perhaps abstract.
this art reflects deathmore than lifecould ever be explained.
at least, sometimes it feels like it's getting there.
smile, just smile. the baby jesus is in its manger of
discarded articles of clothes, just staring up blankly.
just smile for the sake of the jesus! 11/01/2003 Author's Note: i have visited a room of whimsy!
