Don't read this, Please (lol) by Aaron HowardOh my friends, how I wish you never to read this
Oh my family, I hope this book you search and miss
Oh to my lover and my savior, read not whats contained
Oh enemy or server of warrants, I hope this is never obtained..
For these are my personal thoughts and feelings
And I speak openly about all my misgivings and dealings..
I show evidence to this poets heart and writers mind..
and if you were looking for evidence, youd go blind reading between my lines..
Speak not of this, I do
I dont mutter a word..
Since some of these things I say, should never, ever be heard..
I show the world, how you really are inside
Every days the same, just more for you to hide..
I blink twice in recognition over my thought process
And whats going to happen next, I can only guess..
I might ramble on in my usual way,
And try to make a point in what I say
I might lose track of the train in my brain
And ramble like Im slowly going insane..
But thats just me.. for I am openly insane.. I think we all are
Since we all come from heaven, and weve fallen far
Stuck in this world of 14 year old prostitutes and crack whore moms
Where the answers to the questions, are answered by falling bombs..
The downward spiral of life expectancy of middleclass America,
Everyday is just inflated more and more with media hysteria.
So read not these words I speak, for I speak my own little truth
The one where I scribble on a pad, in some Dennys booth
The specks of soul I find in everyday life, I try to dissect it with my pen, like a knife..
Cut it down to the bone, and strip away to the true essence of life..
Write it down for the whole world to read..
And show everyone youre face when you bleed..
Show them the side that no one ever sees
So dont read this
Im asking you
Please
10/13/2003 Author's Note: I wrote this about a conversation I had with someone on here about how we both dont really share our work with anyone we're close to.. It's read by strangers for the most part... and in that, it gives you a great freedom to write about people and know that odds really are, they will never read it... and for some of my work, I think that's a good thing.
