Women's History

by S.J. Tyler

Susan B. Anthony was her name
As a suffragette she came to fame
She stormed men’s clubs
With Lucretia Mott
And Elizabeth Stanton
It was the vote that they got

Gloria Steinem led the way
To get the women equal pay
With marches, songs and rallies galore
She led the movement
“I am woman! Hear me ROAR!”

The road to freedom
Through shackles and chains
Gave little girl’s hope
Of the lives they would gain

These four and many more
Paved the way
For all the women you see
Living equally today
