warm afternoons

by Ginette T Belle

luxuriate in flaxen ale
retrospect
my dark-haired fairie
laying enraptured in lap
his inebriated eyes spilt warmly over
basking in the green glow of a warm afternoon

09/26/2003

Author's Note: i shook my head softly as this memory was triggered yesterday drinking a pint with a friend....

Warm and tender memory that I am very glad you shared. Great read.

Really like this piece Ginette, in how it reaches below the surface and makes my soul tingle. Nothing like a warn afternoon!

i *hate* it when memories do that. O.o lovely and painful, dear.
