Sometimes by Ken HarnischSometimes
When I think of you
And the promises I made to you
To keep my heart and distance
In their room
It still enflames me
Knowing you are close
And thinking of me hot and just the same
And sometimes, casting caution to the winds
Knowing how lifes zephyrs
Always fly too bloody fast
I think of casual collisions
And wonder if the fear
You have is real, or just another figment of your mind
But then, the cold and sober thinking
Comes again, and says
She is right, she was always right
And I put the wild thoughts
Back in their room again
The love for you
Always being more than the love of you
In the end. 05/09/1998 Posted on 09/23/2003 Copyright © 2025 Ken Harnisch

| Posted by Kristine Briese on 09/27/03 at 07:27 PM Oh, Ken. This is as poignantly (did I spell that right?) beautiful as I've learned to expect from you. You have a magical way with language. |
