dear self,
remind yourself to write a
letter to yourself,
reminding me to remember to
write this letter.

leave the notes scrawled in pen,
for the pencil marks will fade
in the end, all that will remain
will be these simple words

all the scrawls on the paper
dreams of something better to come
scribbles are trite, self indulgent,
and I am writing a letter to myself.
