pipe bender romance by Cymbre DolphayWhy are you here
in my presence
looking at me like that
in a way that speaks
of attraction and longing
do you truly adore me
or would I make
a stunning hood ornament
(I know you well enough,
your car will come first)
for an instant I wonder
if I could tempt you
make you love me more
than this piece of metal
perched on rubber tires
but thats rather absurd
if the situation was reversed
yeah, Id take the car
and forget all about you
too bad that youre image
has settled upon my mind
seared itself into my heart
along with gentle starlit kisses
that werent supposed to mean
this much

| Posted by Max Bouillet on 09/10/03 at 10:05 PM Obsessive car infatuation. I don't see the connection about cars. They simply get you where your going. Given the choice between a car and a lady... I'd be walking her home. Great verse that gets ya thinking. |
