Spinning and Skittering by Aaron Howard
Loss of control at a fast rate of speed..
so brother beware and take this into heed..
For once the machine has lost its track
only your precise motions can bring it back..
Save your life, even the heart of the beast..
so try to comprehend when to expect it least..
For it will strike and you will react..
and this is a proven human fact..
the less you live, the less you know..
life spins the bottle, and there you go..
Spinning on the freeway, hydroplaning to the wall
looking back in it, it didnt happen that fast at all..
60 mile an hour collision immanent..
so just think of all that gained time spent..
Vehicle fishtails left, you steer into the spin..
and thats when the water kicks in and the fireworks begin..
Skittering into a deep puddle at 52
and then things get hectic as they always do..
Shuddering in the water at 35 sideways..
as I travel down one of Americas well kept highways..
Headlight in front of me, and more to the right..
Just then the tires decide they want to bite..
So forward I go, deeper into this mini flood..
and I can feel the fear tingling in my blood..
The hood dips under the wave
while my front tires dip into the enclave..
Steam rising from a submersed engine block
and me stuck in this dazed stare of shock..
