I once knew everything I wanted to convey.
I once knew all the things I wanted to say.
I once knew, but then I met you.
I once loved, and you did too.

Broken hearts can take an eternity to heal
We know, broken hearts are the easiest to steal.
Broken backs are like hearts.
It takes years to heal all the parts.

Rehabilitation of the soul can take several lifetimes
Incarceration of my heart for another of those crimes.
