Love of my life

by Aaron Howard

A night spent gazing into your eyes.
Looking for that hidden surprise.
That smile, that close embrace,
that warm look on your face.

A little kiss after midnight,
A feeling of immense height.
Butterflies fluttering in my head.
A warm fuzzy feeling in my bed.
A plight of my body and heart,
when it comes a time for us to part.

An embrace warmer than sunshine.
This love of my life, to only be mine
Freckled smiles in the shade of morn
and this past of loneliness tattered and torn.
This lining of safety and secure comfort.
This home away from the vocational resort.
This life in the seconds and fleeting moments.
Eyes wide open to the time it represents.

Love sacred of all the things
with all the inner personal joy it brings.
The smiles, the laughs, the joy, the tears.
The end to your loneliness and after dark fears.
