Summer won't leave you alone...

by Aaron Howard

Summer won’t leave you alone

Shafts of sunlight penetrating deep into my inner sanctuary.
The sweet summer smell of honey suckle and poison berry.
Light-bugs flutter wildly against the breeze in the harvest moon
and then dawning on to another hot sticky summer afternoon.
Trickles of salty sweat tempting the forces of gravity
as the summer completely fills my outside cavity .
All the fans running all their maddening paces
and the summer breeze pervading so many different places.
Sweet smells of grass cut after the rain
and the storms come to wash away the pain.
The sunburns and blisters left from the suns embrace
All the children playing in the rain from outer space.
Water traveling hundreds of miles to cool down my home
It’s all there to let you know, summer won’t leave you alone.
