godlike lovers

by Cymbre Dolphay

you're so hard to brainwash
and I'm difficult to seduce
amazing that one of our lives
hasn't ended yet
what with so much force of will
that would drive mortals mad

I'm the chill of death
and you're the fire of hell
such tempers as ours
should never cross
odd that we find amusement
in each others ways

how is it that the fates
threw us two together
we who are so similar
that we annoy one another
happen to very strangely
adore each other

I like the opening two lines, it really draws the reader into the subject of the poem. Really good idea, such strong, alike personalities conflict with each other, yet they are still drawn together. I like it :)
