naïeve by Andrew S Adamsfor the longest time, i thought you were naïeve,
so blind to the foot in the door, ready to crush
you into their form. for the longest time,
this is what i thought to be true.
what i never saw, while looking at your sillouhette,
was a face to put to the matters.
what i never saw, was standing right behind me-
waiting for me to turn, blink twice, and hold up
a sign on a stick conceding my defeat.
so, i'm just waiting for an excuse now,
to not turn around.
if i cant see them, they cant see me.
well, who's naïeve now? 06/24/2003 Author's Note: trying to write anything

| Posted by Aaron Howard on 06/27/03 at 05:38 AM I really liked how this one ended..
not to mention the whole kids view in perspective to the monster not being able to get us, as long as we hide under the sheet..
