Why do so many speak without a purpose?

We were not given language to abuse it by
talking without saying a thing, were we?
Before you open your mouth, ask yourself a few questions:

Will what I am about to say entertain those around me?
Will it enlighten them?
Will it satisfy my urge to free my thoughts?
Will it inform?

Or will it involve circular reasoning - ending without a point?

Share your thoughts with me; I'm happy to lend both ear and mind.
But please don't fill my brain with things of meaningless mention,
for my time is limited.

Knowledge is refillable, and I crave it.
I lust for laughter and dream of declarations.

I do not speak without a purpose.
