Locked up in reality by Aaron HowardDo you know what your after?
Do you the price of laughter?
Do you know the math?
Do you fall off the path?
Is this all youÂ’d hoped and expected?
Will you have all the things collected?
Do you know what you want?
Do you have your favorite haunt?
Is this all you wanted in life?
Do you own a gun or knife?
Will you strip it down to the bone
or just leave that sleeping bear alone?
Will you know the answer when they ask,
or will you make that someone elseÂ’s task?
Is this all you thought itÂ’d be
or are you just locked up in your reality?
07/14/2002 Author's Note: This is a poem about denial.
