soccer practice (detroit) by Andrew S Adamsi, said the bahemoth
as he grumbles on the road,
i pollute your environment
more then you, ten-times-fold.
i cough out exhaust
so you may breathe
and witness the beauty
of oddly colored sunsets.
not to be outdone,
here comes another one.
i, said the giant,
sitting on twenty-six inch rims
i cost more than you will ever know
i will turn and crash
crush all those below me
and roll on without a scratch.
i reign supreme, said he.
yet the line of cars rolls on-
On explorer, on Blazer!
On escalade, on navigator!
Go Escursion!
Go Suburban!
dash forth hummer,
roll through trooper!
one more final palace on wheels
flexes his mighty tone-
i, said he-
i stand above you alone.
i, for all i do-
i devistate more than
all of you.
i require more gas, more oil.
i am the cause of rising prices
i am the cause of mideast turmoil.
people fight wars for my drink of choice,
so i can scream in my gassy,
supreme voice.
I am the way the world
can be so devistated-
and i'll get your kids
to soccer practice. 04/12/2003 Posted on 04/13/2003 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams
