True Love In A Pink Cabinet

by Martini Koy

I hope you have found your refuge
You hammock and your quilted blanket
In the heart of the one you say you love
Upon the embrace of open arms
Asleep in her beating bosom.

I wish your restless and stirred up spirit
Has been tamed like the once wild horse of the open fields
Finally breathing slow and deep
Quiet like a baby sleeping in a crib
Like soft wind whispering in your lover's ear.

Never let your smile go away
Now that you have more reason do do it
Don't hide it in your happy heart
It will burst of too much joy
Sending out a bang of laughter.

But why are your lips still?
Why are they not moving?
Is that your way of smiling?
You stare so blankly
Towards the open blue skies.

Why are your hands trembling?
Earthquakes from deep inside
Sweaty palms flowing like lava
The heated rocks melting
Like your liquid dreams pouring.

You have to say you truly love
The one who wears your ring
Like divine truth in scriptures
An oath in justice's courts
Vows of the holy orders.

The wine is flowing freely
Red as red can be
Like the color of love
Blood dripping from wounded hearts
Scarlet draped across Vatican's princes.

Look at your misty eyes
In the small mirror you keep
Inside your tiny pink closet
That I once opened
Before you blinded my heart.
