Forever by Cymbre DolphayWrite my name in blood
upon that lonesome grave
where I shall lay
forevermore
Plant orchids for my daughters
so that they grow fair
and appreciate the beauty
of what I left behind
Ask them to watch the stars
so that they know my face
is smiling down for them
and watching as they grow
Upon this earth
I leave my mark
in flesh and blood
two daughters to live
while I could not
passion of the sun
temperance of the moon
bless both in thy name 03/13/2003 Author's Note: This is my version of a poem that was written for two of my very dear friends. It was originally in Latin, so it isn't the same, but just as heartfelt.
