Everythings jolly and green
And drunk people they cause a scene
If you must ride the bus
There will be a fuss
And you’ll hear things that are quite obscene.

Oh, the streets in saint Paul
The drunken Irish guys laid out them all
According to Jesse
That’s why they’re so messy
Of his speech we should all be appalled.

Every march seventeen
The World is covered in green
Everything’s Irish
But it just seems so childish
It’s almost like an emerald dream.

All of those shamrocks and clovers
Cover the whole world over
It’s all just a joke
Excuses to drink and to smoke
Hardly anyone gets away sober.
