i saw the coolest thing today-
we were driving out to lunch,
and i saw a flag that had a picture
of the world on it.
it had no nationality.
no affiliation.
no alliegance,
save for to the message of unity.

i enter a restaurant after i passed
a fuel station that showed the price of gas
rising over the two dollar mark-
maybe some hope to stop buying this war.

and then on the way back,
on a signpole.
it asked me, when will the war end?
and sadly, i knew no answer
for my inanimate friend.

just the tears of the world
showering with the radiation
coming down
on the future.
