Heartache

by Cymbre Dolphay

This painful longing
Memory of gentle light
That was suddenly torn away
A fathomless wound
Never to be healed in entirity
The endearing and undying
Bitter child of lost love

A slowly dying rose
Withered with lifeless color
Sheared from the stem
That was its simple world
Now void of beauty
And simple splendor
Constant vision of the past

Porque te duele el corazón? Good poem, my favorite topic too - heartache. (pardon my bad Spanish)
