Win or lust (Ode to Mr. Right and Mr. Tonight)

by Aaron Howard

They said she has skeletons in her closet
but I happened to find a cemetery in her corset.
She said she'd only been with 4
I think it was the square root for more.
So I didn't think that less of her
even though my vision did have a slight blur.
Maybe things really haven't gone our way
and maybe it was our turn to try and play.
Play another game of life and lust.
Will we win or just taste the dust?
So we had a round or two then retreated
and went to the room with the bed preheated.
We reveled the covers by pale moonlight
and her eyes glistened with utter delight.
Maybe for a while she was who she wanted
when she could be there all body flaunted.
Maybe she was also searching for Mr. right
but he turned out to be Mr. tonight.
So maybe love and lust are of the same breed
they both seem to dwell in the land of greed.
Seems one isn't without the other
kind of like God as Satan's brother.
So we play another game of life and lust
Roll them dice and see if we win or bust..
