Zealously lost

by Aaron Howard

Your smile makes me wish that dreams were false
and that is was all just a figment of my forgotten memory.

I'll just sit here and forget all I've come to know
and make some new form of a sparkling fantasy.

Dream of a life away from my ever elusive lover
someone who thinks they know who I am and what I'm to do
to ask myself how they compare to my mother.

I seem to wonder why my happy memories are so few.
I seem to wonder once in a while about the real side of you...

I ask myself why I kiss you
all the time and why somehow you make it all fade like the sun
How I forget all the worlds crime
and how I forgot I was holding the smoking gun...
