Fading away into the sunset.. that's how I feel..
And with each day.. another layer, away I peel..
Stripping away, the me, down to the bone...
just so I won't feel so all alone...
Expose my tender side.. let it sting in the air
with the last of my free willing cares..

Habitual love is what I wanted..
but now and forever is how I'm haunted..
I showed you the true side and you fled
just so you could affirm yourself in your warm soft bed..
Blessed with the looks to kill and the tongue of steel..
and the ability to disassociate how you really feel..
Grasp their heart and play your game...
make them cry out in pain as they say your name..
Dancing in the rain with bloody hands..
and wondering why no one even understands...
