Chasing dreams, I can never grasp.
Wanting something first, but always coming in last.

Dreams to fade. Reality to smash me.
You around me. Obstacles to crash me

Long lost is just how I feel
but I guess that's just my own emotional deal.

This pain in my heart fades by the day.
Trying to think of something optimistic to say.

A poet with a broken heart is a terrible waste
so when the wounds heal you'd better make haste.

Lost again, in the fantasy of love
and even when you have it, it's still not enough....
