I saw your face in a dream, and I awoke in tears..
As the days pass, I try to disregard my fears..
Lost without you and still in my own denial...
while my heart and mind put me on trial..
Agreeing to deal with the lost dreams I once had
and all these days where I'm left feeling sad..
Unbalanced and discombobulated by my heart.
Stunned in the ignorance of not knowing my part..
I knew once what I wanted to be, but that was a child's fable
while I sit here and starve at this dinner table..
I knew the dreams I had.. but they are a figment to be forgotten
while all those dreams slowly turn rancid and rotten..
Wishing for a peace to my internal war..
but waking to just have to fight some more..
