POLITICS

by Charles E Minshall

Waterfalls of oratory,
Flooding hill and plain.
Lies and promises falling,
Like a bitter winter rain.

If each lie was a dollar,
I'd be willing to make a bet,
There would be no lack of money,
To pay our nations debt.

I think this stands the test of time! Unfortunately politics and "spin" are inseparable.

Very well crafted. Excellent flow and conciseness. Thanks for sharing, Mr. Minshall.

Chuckles and grins. I needed this today. Discouraged with the political posturing and bluster.
