As I look out the window,
Waiting in anticipation to
See your smiling face.

The miles fly by
And I wonder about
How much longer

Sleeping, listening, reading,
Thinking, writing, waiting
Time ticks slowly by.

Seeming to take forever,
Going fast then slowing down
Stop, go, stop, go

It seems as though
I will never reach
My destination where you wait
