Waters and Friends

by Martini Koy

Waddling in the water
As night embraces the sky
Moonlight reflecting its face
On the sea I was in.
Cool wind blowing
Against bodies bare and wet
Shivers run down
From my neck through my spine

From the waters, too
This person I met
And hey, I tell you
Quite an impression
Did this one make.

'Twas a feeling I'd say was light
And not too long enough
In the same car together we were.

I knew something would happen
Whether I'd like it
I knew I would
Whether I wanted it
I did not know I knew.

Now I know how we became …
Friends as it was said
And I shall consent
Impossible it may not be.

Tonight I'll sleep
With much to think about
I will lull my self to sleep
And treasure and keep this night
For I know that I'll not soon forget
The way this day did end.
