The Unmarked Road

by Martini Koy

I had two roads to take
In my journey through life
Of love and lust.

I had chosed the one less traveled
For I knew then it was right.

I did not see much footprints
Along that road so void of human presence
Because yes, it was the road less trodden.

The road was long and winding
Proving me wrong once more
I thought it would be short and straight
But believe me my eyes were not blind.

I still cannot see the end
Of this road I took
It's end may be far
And I may become thirsty
As I walk along this desert road
But I am challenged as I think
About reaching the end
Of this path so difficult to travel.
