Frost of the Soul

by Martini Koy

An early morning frost
On my window panes
Keep me from seeing
My garden outside.

I wiped my window panes
And the frost vanished
Then I saw the beauty
Of my garden outside.

My soul once had
That early morning frost
Which made it difficult for me to see
My faults and my weaknessess.

But the Lord wiped the frost away
And made me see
The beauty of this life
And the glory of His name.
