Perfection
by Angela HanskaI look upon you with famished eyes
A banquet set before a starving person
A site so magnificent
That Im not worthy to set eyes upon thee
I wonder what perfection may be,
And as I glance at you, I know I have seen it.
You are entirely a vision:
Eyes that are so green and brown that I could drown,
Hair so soft when I run my fingers through it,
Arms to protect all that you hold dear,
Legs that take you swiftly along the path of Life
But these are just physical, other perfections lie in your mind:
Your whit to amuse
Your knowledge to guide
Your thoughtfulness to enlighten
Your patience to teach
All the physical and mental are what make you perfect.
