unity and other things

Shorty. Thought it was something. Not sure it really was. Maybe, though. Guess it doesn't honestly matter.

So Charice and I are friends now... Eric put in a good word and then we all (um... me, Eric, Charice and Jerry) went to the mall (the "small" - I'm a big fan of the mall's nickname) with the intention of taking pictures. Uh, don't ask why as I'm really not sure. It turned out that the picture place wasn't in the mall so we just shopped for a while instead. Charice and I spent a while in a shoe store talking all manner of shoeness. I could tell she was making an effort to be nice and include me. Made me a little self-concious but it was enjoyable, definitely. It ended up as a really good night. Hopefully the good feelings stick around... Charice's roommate might cause some problems. They apparently don't get along very well and Mena (her roommate) wants to study with me. We'll see how things turn out.

Eric and I watched Higher Learning... wow. I've had the soundtrack for a while cause it has two Tori Amos songs on it you can't get anywhere else, but I'd never seen the movie. Apparently it's one of Eric's favorite movies ever. So we watched it. Wow. If you've never seen it, you should. Right now. It was amazing. It was so understandable and relatable. We had a talk about how the college in the movie compares to GA Southern. Some really interesting stuff. It's the best thing in the world to have someone to talk to about that stuff. On my xanga the other day I was talking about the amout of racial unity here and how much that amazed and pleased me. I've had to deal with some people and some opinions in my life that I really couldn't get with. Being here and seeing people interacting without taking notice of skin color is a renewal everyday of my belief that people are truly seeing things clearly. It's great.

Hmmm... well, I think that's all I have for right now. I haven't talked to Tommy in forever cause he's been staying with friends overnight. :( But I'll speak with him tomorrow for sure. I'm certainly missing him.

Goodnight, kids.
