augh, i am in a fuckin rut. fuckeddy fyuck fyuk.
i havent even touched writing anything in the last 5 days. i get so discouraged now-a-days that if i pick up a pen, i'll just write what i've already written in something else, and something much better. grr.
my fish, lucifer, is dying. i've only had him for 2 weeks, but he can only seem to swim on one side. i suck at taking care of lives.
i made a music video. it sucks. it probably doesnt work, but check out the band's website to see if it does.
allright, that's that.
sorry. I am currently Stupid

the absurdity of modern vernacular
05/20/2004 11:13 p.m.
so, i log on to deadjournal, and the first thing i see on my friends page is something about a person being the 'gayest person ever'. so, that blows. i wanna vent about it, but i go to livejournal, where a completely different person also thought it'd be peachy to use 'gay' in a negative sense. I mean, have we become so uncreative as a society that all we can say is 'gay'? when someone says that, i think people are just insulting themselves; really now. anyone can be halfassed about it and say something is gay or call someone a fag.
man, the fags who say that stuff are so gay.
you see what i mean? that sentence makes me sound like a complete ass, and having possibly the iq of a peanut.
I feel like i'm the oldest 18 year old i've ever met. i feel like i'm going into one of those 'in the good ol days' speeches. except there were never any good ol days to begin with. people have always been stupid with what they say. maybe i'm just surrounded by a general community of intolerant, arrogant and ignorant people. there are a few good ones (i suppose most are), but a few rotten apples spoil the whole freakin basket.
in other news, i'm getting a new computer for my room. it's a 1.25 Mhz G4 eMac w/ 512MB RAM, 80 gig HD, airport extreme card, and a superdrive (DVD-R/CD-RW), built in 17" monitor- with an ipod to boot, for around $1600. and that comes with iLife stuff (itunes, imovie, idvd, iphoto, garageband)- and os10.3.... it's really nice. so, yeah.
well finally those capitalist bigs will pay for their crimes, eh comrade?
austin, we won!
oh, right. groovy... yay capitalism!
in other other news, i'm makin me a music video cos i have to put one together by monday. and, considering my general (lack of) knowledge with editing software, i am vive le fucked.
this has gone on for long enough.
i said good day sir!

and again...

after thinking about it briefly, i decided that the orginization of my library actually made very little sense, and it was an arbitrary thing, i guess. so, i've decided to sort chronologically, with the only deviations being poems i've selected for the library (stuff i think is REALLY effin good), and then the poems i've selected for the 'deity' folder (pretty damn good stuff)- other than that, it's all chronological (cept for the one folder that i havent gone through and rated everything for yet)- and it's crazy. my first year i had about 90 poems here. my second year, i had over 270. this year i have about 35 (those figures not counting the library and chosen folders; those make up about another 115 poems)- so, we can see that i kinda went off the deep end last year. and plus, the majority of the stuff i deleted was either from my first or second year. so, yeah.
anyways. i'm listening to radiohead. mmm radiohead.

so, i dont know if i'm supposed to talk about it, but i'm just gonna say that this rocks with what i cant tell you. it's um, groovy, as the kids say.
wait, i am a kid.
in other news, i'm worried about a myriad of things. school being one of them, but there are several other extremely important factors that are playing in it. yesterday, anne and i went to the park. i chronicled it in my most recent poem. I realize i havent written anything
a.)happy, or
b.)relevant
in the last gosh knows how long. but i will soon, i promise. i just need to get around stress and stuff.
yep.
in other news, i found the fm frequency of the nearly impossible to tune in AM college radio station, radio K. so, yep. i'm actually hearing what good radio sounds like. yep.
i'm drinking orange soda.
arent you impressed? i am.

after not having gotten a comment in nearly a week (but seemingly tons of reads in the last few days), i've posted three poems in the last two days and gotten four. it's been a dry month for me. i dont quite know how, but my penchance for songwriting now might have something to do with it. it's a completely different game, and dont let anyone tell you otherwise. most poetry ? good songs.
but, on the song front, i've written a few. nothing i'd shake a stick at, but feel free to check em out.
http://www.hotspringsrecords.com/experience/
go to the main page, click on 'lyrics/songs' on the menu @ the bottom of the page. that'll get you there. the most developed are 'last alive' and 'i hate songs with excessively long titles'. the others are just straight vocal (or horrible, or both).
i guess i've been kinda gone lately. that goes for alot of facets of my life.
thanks for dealing with me.
president bush was in edina today. he had lunch with some guy who raised a ton of money for him. How much money do you have to raise in order to have lunch with the president? anyways. he was in this neighborhood called indian hills (edina is a rather exclusive suburb. indian hills is where the most exclusive of the exclusive live)- which i can see when i look out the main door of the high school. i was probably less than a mile from him.
i swear, i could feel my IQ dropping through the floor.
anyways, that was that.

whee. i'm actually in a band. i bet you kinda knew that, but didnt really. that's because we were only in pseudo existance. but now, it totally rules. we actually are one with a name and (sorta) songs and everything!
http://www.hotspringsrecords.com/experience
yes, we are 'experience'. yep.
in other news, i must admit that gavins april fools joke was a bit lamer than last years. it wasnt nearly as visible; but hey, last years was awesome. perfect, almost. maybe i'm just too cynical.

i just realized something. all these people that i know on pathetic, via the internet, and have never met personally, all these people are just folders in some directory nested in some larger one, which is in turn in an infinite number of larger directories. you're all folders. i'm a folder, too.
it's mindblowing to think about sometimes.
in other news, i've taken to listening to blink 182's new album. i hate them so much, but this album is actually not bad at all. hopefully they'll stay grown up.
