Channels

by Jon Kary

Tides of Force
converge to engage
a movement
in a unified direction
Layering dimensions
unfolding a path
through the flesh of
concentrated time.

I as witness
transcending the mind
in a dance of
spiraling light
Cascading essence of
living water
reflecting the space
Divine.

A flame within a field
within a form
at play
in an image
of infinite regression.

A stream, a conduit
a vortex of patterns
revealing while concealing
the identity that waits
to disappear.

Come angel,
escort ethereal
Show me the way
to forget to hide.

So far the angels I've met have all been face to face. But then I've been quite lucky in this life. We'll see where it goes from here. Another thoughtful write my friend. You are on a roll as the saying goes.

This just blows me away.

That last stanza is absolutely breathtaking to me... But what I think drew me in more than anything are the last 3 lines of the first stanza. Complete first to last; I would expect no less from you.

'to forget to hide'...we all need to do more of that...

I read this entirely as a meditation on the recent inauguration of President Obama. It works, conjuring images of the crowded Mall, Reflecting Pool the only uninhabited space, breath turning to mist, the President and First Lady as the focus of so many millions, the channels of justice, democracy, hope.

the innate peace I feel upon the digestion of your words leave me calm yet energized, renewed yet reflective...and like water, I can't get enough of the words your mind inks into the universe...

clearly Jon, above all other content, I hear the music streaming in this piece. it is opus to my ears, which permit these philosophical horses full gallop on their range.
