Currents

by Jon Kary

River of Essence
ascending through wheels of light
passionately turning their vortices
of subtle turbulence
in a spiraling vigor
stretching quietly
from stem to crown.

I as instrument
of high holy endeavor
sealed in threads of glory
Never fearing to be lost,
never ceasing to be found.

A universe
flowing in a streaming palette,
a spectrum of vibrations unbound

A being,
a vessel
of dynamic purpose
even as its twisted
from an emanation of original
thought and sound.

A mind of isolation
finally dipping into grace
A note
Unborn
breaking the silent veil of sentience
into a melody whisper soft,
an atmosphere that seamlessly surrounds.

Sing to me
of the soul most willing
to vanish into
Blending Oceanic.

Love love love: "I as instrument" and "blending Oceanic"...and I truly wish I'd written these lines: "Never fearing to be lost,/ never ceasing to be found."...you are a pleasure to read, to breathe in, to ponder...wonderful addition to your library...peace to u, ~jewels

...there is something so triumphant and glorious about the words, and while i read, my mind wanders to a blazing sun, white linen on bare skin, arms and legs entwined...what does it all mean...?

By this I am renewed, and have found a home for hymn. Thank you, old soul.

"Never fearing to be lost,/ never ceasing to be found."...revelational (if that's really a word) I have to agree with Julie, fantastic and compelling line Mr. Kary.

I would like to fall asleep for a while inside these words.

This is instantly one of my favorite works of yours. The wonder and subtlety in this are unparalleled.

stunning in such a soft, almost silent way. line 2 is beyond brilliant, and sets the tone for the whole -- incredible imagery through movement - the whirling fluid being, the vortice, throughout the piece, and you took me so right INSIDE of it. i love water imagery, and you make it so supple, so easy to slide along to... this is what poetry should be, what it should accomplish - taking the reader on that sensual journey. just as a scent of lavender can change brain chemistry, these words evoke emotion, changing the reader on a cellular level. i know i'm not the same anymore... masterful. magical. xopk

the flow in this is excellent - I get caught up in the sounds and pace -- it's written very precisely and thoughtfully.
