exhaling by Jeremy Magee
the wave that carried me
is sizzling on the grains of sand,
the foam is being swallowed
by the crystalline mouths,
i am naked, save for kelp,
and cakes of salt,
a smile,
littered with sunlight.

| Posted by George Hoerner on 12/13/08 at 04:34 PM Really nice write Jeremy. The ocean can do that to you. It makes most of us smile and maybe wish to be naked. |
| Posted by Alison McKenzie on 12/13/08 at 05:02 PM I was naked, once, in a tropical ocean. It was lovely, except for the jelly-fish sting. Hehe. Phosphorous sand at night...nothing quite as magical!! This is a pleasant journey.... |
